Composition

Each dose of the vaccine contains 10 (5,5) CPD50 attenuated herpesvirus Auezki strain of Begonia.

The vaccine strain Begonia is genetically stable, highly immunogenic and non-pathogenic for swine. In vaccinated animals, immunity is produced within 3 weeks. The intensity of immunity is sufficient to ensure a high level of antibodies to the infection caused by the causative agent of Auezki's disease for the entire period of fattening or, at least, for 6 months.

Dosage form

It is a homogeneous porous mass of pale pink color. Ready-to-use live vaccine.

Indications

For specific prevention of Auezki's disease both in well-off farms and in dysfunctional farms.

Vaccination program

1. For specific prevention of Auezki's disease in well-off farms, piglets and sows are vaccinated at the following times:

- if there are no maternal antibodies in the whey of piglets, then they are vaccinated once from a week old;

- If the maternal antibodies are present, then a single vaccination is performed at 14 weeks of age;

- if necessary early protection, but if there are maternal antibodies in the blood, vaccination is given starting from 10 weeks

Age, with mandatory repeated injection of the drug after 4 weeks.

- the sows are vaccinated once 2 weeks before the expected farrowing.

2. For specific prevention of Auezki's disease, threatened farms, piglets, sows and boars are vaccinated at the following times:

- The piglets are inoculated twice in 10 and in 14 weeks of life.

- All uterine stock, including repair pigs and boars, are vaccinated at the same time using the "carpet" vaccination method.

The only exception is the pregnant sows, who are in the late stages of gestation (more than 105 days).

The latter should be vaccinated immediately after farrowing.

Revaccination is mandatory every 3-4 months.

Storage

Contraindications and warnings:

Minor rapid local reactions are possible at the injection site. Can not be used by dogs.

It is not allowed to mix the vaccine Porcilis Begonia with vaccines from other manufacturers

Additional Information:

Porcilis Begonia can be used only in combination with other Porcilis vaccines.

Empty vials and unused vaccine are disposed of by boiling for 15 minutes.
