Inactivated vaccine against colibacteriosis and neonatal enterotoxinemia of pigs containing purified E. coli LT-toxoid and adhesive saw-antigens: K88ab, K88ac, K99 and 987P, inactivated with chlorocresol and formalin.
The vaccine consists of: adjuvant - aqueous solution of α-tocopherol acetate, emulsifier-polysorbate 80, defoamer-simethicone, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, dihydrocals phosphate, hydrodynatium phosphate.
In appearance, the vaccine is an aqueous suspension of white color. During storage, precipitation is allowed, which precipitates easily when shaken to form a homogeneous suspension.
The vaccine is released into 20 ml (10 doses), 50 ml (25 doses) or 100 ml (50 doses) in glass or plastic bottles of appropriate capacity.
The vials are hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers with aluminum caps and are supplied with labels in Russian with the indication of: the name and designation of the vaccine, the manufacturer's organization, its trademark, the date of manufacture and the expiration date (month, year), serial number, number of doses in the vial, method Introduction, storage conditions, the inscription "For animals", "Sterile", "Shake before use".
Each bottle is packed in a cardboard box. Each instruction box contains instructions for use.
Shelf life of the vaccine is 36 months from the date of manufacture, if stored in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 2 to 8 ° C. The vaccine is not used after the expiration date indicated on the label.
Vials with a vaccine without labels, with a violation of the closure, subjected to freezing, with a changed color, consistency, containing foreign impurities, and not used within 3 hours after opening and after the expiration date are to be disposed of by boiling for 15 minutes.
Biological properties.
The vaccine induces the production of antibodies in the body of immunized animals in titre to the adhesive peptide antigens: K88ab - not less than 9.0 log2, K88ac - not less than 5.4 log2, K99 - not less than 6.8 log2, 987P - not less than 7.1 log2 ; To LT-toxoid - not less than 6.8 log2.
The vaccine is harmless for pigs of all ages, does not possess therapeutic effect.
The order of application.
The vaccine is intended for immunization of pregnant sows and repairing sows with the goal of creating a colostral immunity against colibacillosis and neonatal enterotoxemia in newborn piglets.
Before use, the vials of the vaccine are shaken thoroughly and heated in a water bath to a temperature of 30-360 ° C. Use sterile syringes and needles, the injection site is disinfected with 700C alcohol or other disinfectant solution.
The vaccine is administered to animals in a volume of 2 ml (1 immunizing dose), intramuscularly behind the ear, to a depth of 3 to 4 cm.
Previously, non-vaccinated sows and repair pigs were immunized twice with an interval of 4 weeks. The first injection is carried out 6-8 weeks before the expected date of farrowing.
Revaccination is carried out once - no later than 2-4 weeks before each farrowing.
Vaccinations are subject only to clinically healthy animals.
Some animals may have post-vaccination reactions in the form of subfebrile fever, depression, loss of appetite, which disappear within 24 hours. It is possible the formation of slight swelling at the injection site of the drug, which disappears within 3-5 days.
The products of slaughter obtained from vaccinated animals are used without restrictions.
