Composition and form of release
Porcilis Ery + Parvo - vaccine against erysipelas and parvovirus infection of pigs containing inactivated pathogens: pigs erysipelas - Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae strain M2 (serotype II) and parvovirus infection of pigs strain 014.The composition of the vaccine includes: adjuvant - an aqueous solution of α-tocopherol acetate, a preservative-formaldehyde solution, an emulsifier-polysorbate 80, a defoamer-simethicone, sodium chloride and traces of antibiotics.
In appearance, the vaccine is a homogeneous water-oil emulsion, white. During storage, precipitation is allowed, which precipitates easily when shaken to form a homogeneous suspension.
The vaccine is released into 20 ml (10 doses), 50 ml (25 doses), 100 ml (50 doses) or 250 ml (125 doses) in glass or plastic bottles of appropriate capacity. The vials are hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers and rolled with aluminum caps.
Shelf life
The vaccine is suitable for use within 24 months from the date of manufacture if stored in a dry dark place at a temperature of 2 to 8 ° C. It is forbidden to use the vaccine after the expiration date.Vials with a vaccine without labels, with a breach of closure, subjected to freezing, with a changed color, consistency, containing foreign impurities, as well as unused within 10 hours after opening and after the expiry date should be disposed of by boiling for 15 minutes.
Biological properties.
The vaccine is harmless and does not have medicinal properties.In vaccinated animals, after 2 weeks, the vaccine stimulates an immune response that persists during gestation and the suckling period before the booster before the next insemination.
Each dose of the vaccine contains at least 9 log2 GAE (haemagglutinating units) of the causative agent of parvovirus infection of pigs and 50 IU (international units) of the E. rhusiopathiae pathogen.
The order of application
The vaccine is intended for active immunization of repairing sows and sows against parvovirus infection and erysipelas in well-off, conditionally-safe, endangered and dysfunctional farms.Before use, the vials with vaccine are shaken thoroughly and heated in a water bath to a temperature of 30-36 ° C. When carrying out the vaccination, the rules of asepsis and antiseptics are observed. Use sterile syringes and needles, the injection site is disinfected with 70 ° C alcohol or other disinfectant solution.
Vaccinations are subject only to clinically healthy animals.
In order to prevent infections, the sows are vaccinated once, and the repair guinea pigs before the first insemination - twice with an interval of 4 weeks. The vaccine is administered intramuscularly behind the ear in a dose of 2 ml not later than 2 weeks before insemination.
Revaccination of animals is carried out 2-4 weeks before each insemination.
Side effect
Some animals may have post-vaccination reactions in the form of subfebrile fever, depression, loss of appetite, which disappear within 24 hours. It is also possible the formation of a slight swelling at the injection site, which disappears during the day.The slaughter products obtained from vaccinated animals are used without restrictions.
