1 ml of the drug contains the active substance: meloxicam - 20 mg. Excipients: ethanol, water for injections.

Pharmacological properties:

ATC vet classification code QM01A - anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic drugs, non-steroidal. QM01AC56 - Meloxicam. Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent based on enolic acid, a class of oxycamines. It inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation, and thus causes anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, analgesic and antipyretic effects. Reduces infiltration of leukocytes of tissues. To a small extent, it also suppresses collagen-induced platelet aggregation. Meloxicam also has antitoxic properties that are associated with inhibition of the production of thromboxydase B2, which occurs under the influence of endotoxins E. coli. The bioavailability of meloxicam after an intravenous injection reaches almost 100%. The highest level of absorption is achieved after 7.7 hours and 4 hours after application of the preparation for the body and lactating cows, respectively, and also 1 hour after application to pigs. Meloxicam is bound to plasma proteins more than 98%. The highest concentration of meloxicam after application is in the liver and kidneys, and the lowest in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue. All major metabolites of meloxicam are pharmacologically inactive. Metabolism in horses was not investigated. The half-life of meloxicam after subcutaneous administration is 26 hours and 17.5 hours in calves and lactating cows, respectively. Isolated from the body, mainly with milk and bile marrow, as well as with urine and faeces.

Cattle: treatment of animals for acute inflammation of the respiratory system (in the case of appropriate antibiotic therapy); as an auxiliary treatment for calves (older than 1 week), diarrhea patients; for acute mastosis in cows (as an additional therapy); to reduce postoperative pain after removing horns in the tedium.

Horses: to reduce inflammation and pain in acute and chronic forms of inflammatory processes of the locomotor system and in colic (as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic).

Cattle: subcutaneously or intravenously in a dose of 2.5 ml of the preparation per 100 kg of body weight (0.5 mg of meloxicam per 1 kg of body weight) once. The recommended maximum volume of the drug for administration in one place is 10.0 ml. Pigs: intramuscularly in a dose of 2.0 ml of the preparation per 100 kg of body weight (0.4 mg of meloxicam per 1 kg of body weight) once. If necessary, repeat the injection after 24 hours. The recommended maximum dose for one place is 2.0 ml. Horses: intravenously in a dose of 3.0 ml of the preparation per 100 kg of body weight (0.6 mg of meloxicam per 1 kg of body weight) once.
