Composition and form of production:

Anthelminthic preparation, contains as active ingredient 10% levamisole hydrochloride and auxiliary components. The drug is a clear, colorless solution. Produced in packs of 50, 100 and 250 ml in bottles of dark glass, packed in individual cardboard boxes.

Pharmacological action:

Levamisole, which is a part of the preparation, belongs to the anthelmintics of the imidazoles group. The mechanism of action of levamisole is to act on the neuromuscular system, inhibit the enzyme fumarate reductase, which ultimately causes paralysis of the parasite. The drug refers to moderately dangerous for warm-blooded animals. The drug is active against gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes in farm animals.

Indications:

Dehelminthization of farm animals in helminthiases caused by sexually mature and larval stages of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes, including - in large and small cattle: Haemonchus sp., Ostertagia sp., Trichostrongylus sp., Nematodirus sp., Bunostomum spp ., Oesophagostomum sp., Cooperia sp., Dictyocaulus spp. ; - in pigs: Ascaris suum, Strongyloides ransomi, Metastrongylus spp., Oesophagostomum spp.

Dosage and route of administration:

The drug is administered once intramuscularly (goats subcutaneously), in the following doses: 7.5 ml per 100 kg of animal mass, but not more than 23 ml per animal; To small cattle 0.75 ml per 10 kg of animal weight, but not more than 4.5 ml per animal; Pigs 0.75 ml per 10 kg of animal weight. If the mass of the animal is more than 150 kg, then for each 50 kg, exceeding this mass, 3.5 ml of the solution is injected. If the volume of the injected solution is more than 15 ml, the drug is administered to the animal in two to three places. Before mass dehelminthization each batch of the drug is preliminarily tested on a small group (5-7 animals). If there are no complications within 2 - 3 days, all the livestock are de-worming.

Side effects:

In recommended doses are not observed.

Contraindications:

Weak, depleted and sick with infectious diseases are not subject to helminthization. Do not apply the drug to breeding manufacturers in the breeding season and females in the last third of the pregnancy.

Special instructions:

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 7 days after the application of the drug. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of this period can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals or for the production of meat-and-bone meal. Milk derived from animals treated with the drug is not allowed to be used for food purposes within 3 days after application of the drug. Such milk can be used for feeding animals. When working with the drug, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety, provided when working with veterinary drugs.
